Eugene M Jerde

Eugene M. Jerde, age 86, of Twin Lakes, WI, died Monday evening December 12, 2016 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington surrounded by his loving family.

Eugene was born on February 22, 1930 in Wilmot, WI, the son of the late Martin and Sadie Frank Jerde.  On November 26, 1952 in Cordele, GA, Eugene was united in marriage to Wynelle Adkins.  Wynelle preceded him in death on October 26, 2015.

Eugene served in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked as a serviceman for the Wisconsin Southern Gas Company (WE Energies) for many years. Eugene and Wynelle ran the Wilmot Café for several years and also ran Gene’s Services.  He was a member of the Wilmot Vol. Fire Dept, the Schultz Hahn American Legion Post in Silver Lake, WI and the Silver Lake VFW.  He enjoyed woodworking and built 3 houses. He also enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. 

Eugene is survived by:  3 children, Deborah (Carl) Habendott of Camp Lake, WI, Gary Jerde of Round Lake Beach. IL and Karen (Eric) Heckel of Trevor, WI; 7 grandchildren, Steven Jerde, Karry Habendott, Katie Lister, Paula (Aaron) Williams, Monica Heckel, Shane (Katy) Heckel and Brent Heckel; 7 great grandchildren, Lucas Thomas, Steven Thomas, Makaylie Heckel, Gabriel Lister, Kyler Heckel, Braelynn Heckel and Aubrey Heckel; many nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Myrtle Topel, Shirley Kropidlowski, Dawn Jahns and Marlene Van Patten and 1 brother, Harley Jerde.

The Jerde Family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday Dec. 15, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.  Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of Funeral services at 11:00AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 7931 US 45 Bristol, WI.  Interment will be in Wilmot Cemetery.  Memorial remembrances may be made to Zion Lutheran Church-Organ Fund, 19800 80th St. Bristol, WI 53104.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home of Twin Lakes is serving the Jerde Family.
