James Douglas Wilson age 94, of Genoa City, WI. formerly of Saddlebrook in Grayslake, IL died April 23, 2016 at Burr Oak Manor in Genoa City, WI. He was born on April 15, 1922 in Selmer, TN. The son of T. Douglas and Martha E. (McCullar) Wilson.
On May 30, 1964 he was married to Shirley Fluno Baum. He was the retired owner of Consolidated Plastics in Chicago, IL. He served in the United States Navy in World War II on the YMS-65 Minesweeper. He was a lifelong member of Austin Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling and time with family and friends. Jim never met a stranger.
James is survived by his wife Shirley, 3 Children; Donna R. Wilson of Seattle, WA, Peter (Sandy) Baum III of Genoa City, WI, Laura L. Nethercot of Raleigh, NC and Barbara A. Baum (deceased), 1 sister Marie Anderson, 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother William Wilson
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 27, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, Wi. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until the time of services.
