Jean Winifred (Radunz) Schwandt

February 4, 1925 ~ March 26, 2015 (age 90) 90 Years Old


Jean W. Schwandt age 90 of Pell Lake, WI died March 26, 2015 at Artisan Senior Living in Lake Geneva, WI.  She was born in Burlington, WI. on February 4, 1925 the daughter of the late Herman and Mary (Wilson) Radunz.  On Sept 26, 1946 in Greenbush, WI she was united in marriage to William E. Schwandt who preceded her in death on May 12, 1991.  Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Genoa City and was active with volunteering and fund raising at the church where she served as financial secretary for 30 years.  She attended Lake Geneva High School and graduated in 1943.  Jean was a charter member of the Bloomfield Center Post 5830 VFW Auxiliary and held many offices in the local, District and Department.  She served as Department President from 1973-74. She worked at Wisconsin Bell as a Switch Operator and Clerk. 

            Jean is survived by her 3 Children: Roxanne (Pedro) Corpus of Delavan, WI, Rev. Dr. Wayne E. Schwandt (Chuck Riley) of Washington D.C.  and William R Schwandt of Appleton, WI,  Grandchildren: Jason and Isaac Schwandt and Great-granddaughter Jadyn Schwandt.  Sister in Law Louise Schwandt.  She was preceded in death by her two Brothers Herman and Marvin Radunz, Sister Brydene, Daughter-in-law Jane Schwandt and Granddaughter Lea Schwandt. 

            A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 113 Freeman St.  Genoa City, WI.  Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City, WI.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made in Jean’s name to either the First United Methodist Church of Genoa City, WI or the Alzheimer’s Association.  Online condolences may be made at Haaselockwoodfhs.com.  The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Genoa City, WI. is assisting the family.
