I taught with Marilyn at Troy Center School for 6 wonderful years- some of my most favorite! I was Mrs. Fitzpatrick then. Teaching at that little school was just fun and full of adventures- kickball games (Marilyn was always the pitcher), scary caterpillars (She came to my rescue), a flooding basement while we watched a tornado whirl down County J, fire drills (with a hand bell!), end of school picnics.... What a terrific way to start off a teaching career. Marilyn was the building principal and was infinitely patient with me and helped me settle in. We were a team and she taught me a lot. Many fond thoughts and prayers to Rick, Rhonda and the rest of her family.

Marilyn was an Awana leader for several of our kids. She had a special smile shared with Ana when they were together. Ana really liked the one on one time with her and the patience she showed, she also always liked seeing her at church. We are so thankful for her
years of serving and her kindness.
Hugs and prayers for the family.
May the Lord comfort you with beautiful memories in this time.

Marilyn was a wonderful neighbor! We enjoyed getting to know her 10 years ago when we would all be in the back yard. She had Shelties and we had a Sheltie too. We had fun swapping "dog" stories. Such a nice, kind Christian woman. She is and will continue to be missed. We were blessed to know her.

I'm so sorry for your loss....Marilyn was my 2nd Grade teacher at Troy Center and I remember getting "Happy Grahams" from her (for being good or turning in work?) and I believe the top two or three people who got the most happy grahams got to go out to eat with her - I was one of them! I think we went to eat at Timber-Lee, such great memories! I also remember bringing in a treat for my birthday and having the wrong container (it was filled with bird seed not the cookies I was supposed to bring in!) and she called my mom and said "we have a bunch of birds here..." such a funny, neat lady - you will be missed Mrs. Meiller!!!
