Dear Mrs. Bottum and family,
Be assured of my prayers as you mourn the loss of your dear husband of 56 years, Dr. Michael William Bottum. Words cannot begin to describe the loss you feel. May God console you and fill you with rich and lasting memories of your husband's care for you, your children, and grandchildren. Savor the compassion and healing he brought to countless people as a medical doctor. Eternal rest grant unto Dr. Bottum, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. Thank you for suggesting memorials to Red Cloud Indian School. --Fr. Dr. Bottum was a volunteer provider in the early days of the Open Door Free Clinic.
He was a compassionate and understanding provider and certainly traveled a long way to volunteer.

We were patients of Dr. Bottom for many years, at Hales Corners,Wawatosa and finally at St Luke's in Milwaukee. we loved his care and concern thru all our health issues. May he be blessed in heaven for eternity.
