My heartfelt & sincere sympathies to Mrs. Krause and family. Mr. Krause inspired, encouraged and was absolutely dedicated to his students. He instilled in me the importance of practice and determination that has carried throughout my life. With care, prayers & a standing ovation from Mr. Krause's BHS E-flat Clarinetist (1975-78).

Can't tell you how much I appreciated all the things that Mr. Krause did for all of us "band kids". The opportunities and friendships that band opened have lasted a lifetime. I was probably the worst flute player he ever had but he put up with me, allowing me to be included and part of the group. Getting to see your family over the years since graduation has been so much fun to watch how we have all grown. Love the fact that when I talk about the Krauses, my big kids smile and know exactly who I am talking about after all the years at the Lakeland auctions. Glad they both have had great band experiences and friendships too that will last forever. Thank you for sharing your dad and your husband. Keep that strong family bond together that you all have and treasure it. It is a gift.

Dear Mrs. Krause, I was a band student of Mr. Krause's at Badger High School between 1977 until my graduation in 1981. I played the oboe in the concert ensemble, bells in marching band and piano in jazz band. I also was fortunate to play the oboe in the pit orchestra a couple of times for the HS musicals. I can't tell you how happy those years were of my life! I was also one of the lucky ones who was in the jazz band the first year we travelled to Florida--and then won second place. What a wonderful surprise that was! And I've heard the jazz bands only continued to get better after that. Mr. Krause was a fantastic musician and role model. I loved how he demonstrated musicianship on his clarinet. I still think of him whenever our local HS jazz band plays and the clarinetist has a solo. Please know how much joy and great music and beauty and just fun he enabled in my life throughout high school. I was so sorry to learn he was ill and I grieve your loss. I now have 4 children of my own here in southern California--and we are "band family." All 4 play piano and band instruments and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you, Mr. Krause, for nurturing the gift of music in my childhood and now passing it on to the next generation. Well done, good and faithful servant. Now make lots of beautiful music in heaven! Sincerely, Suzanne Hoff Hadley, BHS Class of 1981

We will forever look for Ron on the porch...smell the sweet cigar smoke and miss his hearty laugh. There was always something comforting and good about him always being there...and we thought it would be forever.
I will treasure our last conversation and hugs.
We also remember our music connections...keep appreciation for the music education and opportunities he gave James.
Miss you, Dear Leader of the Band.

Our deepest sympathy to you all. Remember his great accomplishment while living in Genoa City and at Badger High School. Always seemed amazing what he was able to do with musical instruments and teaching kids to enjoy that great art.
Sorry we are unable to attend but you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
