Steven K. Kramer

Steven K. Kramer; 77, of Westlawn Ave. Elkhorn, WI died unexpectedly Monday January 30, 2017 at his residence.  He was born April 9, 1939 in Madison, WI, the son of the late George W. and Ruth E. (Jones) Kramer.  After high school graduation he attended the University of Wisconsin Madison.  He served in the U.S.  Army.  Steven was united in marriage to Joanne L. Mortensen on July 8, 1961 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Madison, WI.  Joanne died September 29, 2015.  Steven worked as a kitchen and bath designer for over 25 years employed with the Elkhorn Kitchen Mart, Elkhorn Lumber, and Stan’s Lumber retiring in 2005.  He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Elkhorn and served on several church committees.  He was a member of the Shriner’s Zor Temple Consistory, Past Master of the Elkhorn Masonic Lodge, and a current member of the Lake Geneva Masonic Lodge.  He was a former member of the Elkhorn Kiwanis Club and the Walworth County Barbershop Chorus.   Steven is survived by his two children; Roxanne Kramer and Ronald Kramer both of Elkhorn, WI, two granddaughters Lillian and Candace Kramer, one brother; Scott Kramer of Madison, WI and one sister-in-law; Jean Kramer of Grafton, WI, and by several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  Steven is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Joanne, one brother Pete Kramer.  Private family funeral service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery Madison, WI.  Memorials may be made in Steven’s name to: First Congregational United Church of Christ 76 South Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
