I am so sorry to hear of your loss, Eleanor was a very sweet lady. You may not remember me but I worked for your Dad at American Family for awhile. He too was a wonderful boss and if it had not been for the drive from Janesville, I would have stayed until he retired. Would like to attend the funeral but not too well myself so please accept my condolences to your family. Wanda & Gary Walhovd

My husband and I were blessed with the friendship of Eleanor and Roy Thoms, beginning with Lynn's marriage to Tom, and subsequent visits with Eleanor when the babies Sarah and Adam arrived. We were honored to be accepted as extended family, and even had the pleasure of being entertained by the Thoms on two visits to their home in Elkhorn. To us, they represented the generosity of the wonderful people of the Mid-West. Our small world was made a better place because Eleanor Thoms inhabited it. God rest your soul, my friend. My condolences to Eleanor's family. She and Roy were such good friends of my parents. Eleanor especially was helpful to my mom as she slowly failed. She was part of my parents circle of friends. Thank you Eleanor. You will be missed.

I have many memories of your kind mother, Lynn, but the one that stands out the most is the year you invited to Easter dinner at your parent's house, probably in the early 70's. Your mom's brother's family was there, and I was made to feel so welcome by your mom and dad. I remember a lovely meal, with "the good china," wine, I suppose, and much laughter and fun. Thank you for your friendship and for memories like this one. Your mom was a special one, and so are you.
