Deepest sympathy on the death of your beloved husband, father and grandfather Bill. I (Chuck) have fond memories of our times together in the Twin Lakes area. My best memories involve times together in Oxford and Lawrence Lake. R.I. P. ( We will be making a gift to the Twin Lakes Food Pantry upon our return from Oxford.)

All my memories of Bill are fond ones. Met him probably 30 yrs ago when I was looking for a good subcontractor....the tradition still goes on. Sorry Mike for the loss of your dad. You will get to see him again. No rush. He will be waiting....

Will always be remembered the Puckaway Duck Club.

I first met Bill sometime around 1979 when we bought our cottage in Princeton, WI. We duck hunted on Lake Puckaway that fall but my brother Bill had been hunting this lake for several years already.

Dad liked a spot that was on the east tip of the long island that some call the dredge bank. It is in the southeast corner of the lake. There was a duck blind on that point and we would hunt in it from time to time if it was empty. My brother knew the owner of the blind. It was Bill Podella. We eventually met Bill Podella and started hunting with him a lot. We all became friends and the rest is all history now.

Bill Podella ended up being one of the best friends to the Frost family. We invited Bill to stay with us every fall after 1979. Bill knew the area some times better than we did and he would tell us stories that were some of the best I have ever heard.

After the hunting season, we would all go about our ways and periodically there might be a phone call or a short visit with Bill somewhere. But, there was nothing like that first weekend of the hunting season to be there when Bill arrived. He was happy to see us and we were happy to see him. It was a reunion every year that became one of my favorite times to look forward to. It was not the hunting that we looked forward to, it was the special camaraderie that only special people have.

We continued to improve on our cottage and Bill was right in there giving a hand in whatever he could do. What a great friend and what a knowledgeable individual.

There was something very special being able to be around a man like Bill. I know I was very moved by some of the things we talked about. My life was certainly influenced in many ways by being around Bill and watching how he treated situations and relationships with other people. He would be a case study in being a good person.

But, it is time to say goodbye to Bill now. How can we say goodbye to such an admirable person. It is tough for all of us, I can only imagine the loss the family will have.

Goodbye to a great hunting buddy and personal friend. That first day of hunting every fall from now on will have a big void but don’t worry friend, you will be remembered. We will be sharing our stories about you for years to come.

I hope heaven is just like those fond fall weekends.

Goodbye BB, say hello to the others we loved so much to be with that are waiting for you to join them.
